The who.

                                “She’s not you,” was the way one of the biggest compliments of my career was worded.  An explanation followed of the                    comparison between me and this other skilled HR professional.  The difference? --- Compassion.  

I’ve carried that recognition of my particular brand of HR with me ever since.  In my 25 years of professional HR experience, I strive to not only balance compliance with compassion, but also complexity with simplicity, and being serious without taking myself too seriously.      

                      I firmly believe in right people---hire the right people, develop the right people, retain the right people.  And,

                               never letting an employee be the canary in your organizational culture’s coal mine.  

                               My 2+ decades of experience has been primarily with fast growing, start-up companies as well as in

                             the nonprofit sector, with large and small employers.  In those start-up days of long hours and little

                      infrastructure, I began honing the strategic application of the HR function to support an organization.  I

                     continue to use those strategies to support employees and leaders with their HR needs. I have discovered

                         that I find          genuine joy in supporting individuals in accomplishing what they want to achieve.   

                                             I earned degrees in communications with an emphasis on alternative dispute resolution, and

                                          experiential education.  I hold two professional designations, the SPHR and the SHRM-SCP.  In

                                        addition to the fancy letters behind my name, I am also a certified mediator.
